I usually love me a good early 2000’s, late 90’s coming of age love story but this one bored me. It was honestly just a star studded mess. It’s missing all the key ingredients that make a sappy, mindless high school romance story. There was no chemistry between the leads, not much interaction between them either. It’s missing a lot of plot lines that would’ve made their story more compelling. There’s too much going on and you kind of get lost in the sauce. It’s like they just got a bunch of young, hot, breakout stars in one place and decided to just do something with them even if it made no sense. Loved to see the young Paul Walker, Gabrielle Union, Usher and Lil Kim though. Other than that, this gave nothing and I’m so mad, I’m giving a Google review. I have never done this before 😂 P.S: The 2021 version (He’s all that) is way better. Chef’s kiss, that one.
