Full of great mechanics and fun gameplay, but hindered by the fact that it's taken "dark souls difficulty" and ran with it to the point of absurdity at some points. The learning curve is extremely steep, so expect to have a few failed characters before you find a build that works for you. Some of the menu screens can be confusing at first, and are quite overwhelming for new players. The story is hard to follow at times, what with characters changing names left right and centre. However, I do like that characters are based off real sixteenth -century japanese historical figures. Ultimately, quite rewarding if you keep at it, but I can see it being very easy to lose interest in after seemingly making no progress in a few hours due to repeated failure. I would highly recommend watching a few beginner guides before playing this game.
