Black Sheep, is a can’t put down. I read it in one sitting! And twice since. It’s a page turner. Get your large box of Kleenex. You will laugh to tears and cry empathy. You will feel the passion of Ray’s emotions. As a semi Black Sheep, not as white as Ray, I too have suffered the pain of rejection due to my color. Racism was never discussed in my home. Nor was I taught to hate! Growing up in an all black neighborhood I had no clue why I wasn’t liked. Manny many years later, l found out why. My Father was Octoroon, 1/8 black, blond hair and blue blue eyes. Now, reading Ray’s story adds additional clarification. Endured racism is so painful, debilitating and ugly. This memoir should be read by all races and especially, BLACK SHEEPS!!! You will Come home to inner peace!
