I got Cyberpunk on release day and didn't play it for months due to all the bad press. I've recently seen improved press saying things like "finally Cyberpunk is the game we all hoped it was going to be" and others. This lead me to believe it had been fixed so I gave it a go.
While it's not a bad game I personally don't feel it anywhere near the game I'd hoped it was going to be. There are still many little glitches and many improvements that need to be made.
For example when travelling as a passenger in 1st person look at the driver. Their arms and steering wheel don't move when turning corners. I feel this hasn't happened since GTA 3. Also there's no freedom with NPC's. Everytime I go back to my apartment there are the same people doing the same things. There are 2 cops arresting somebody who I feel have been doing this for the last 2 weeks. These seem like such basics that haven't happened in games for over 10 years and purely examples as there are too many to fully list. I don't find the graphics or gameplay anything to shout about either. They aren't awful but they are far from great.
I don't think this game will ever be known as a great and certainly won't be mentioned in the same breath as GTA, Red Dead, Assassins Creed, Skyrim or Fallout.
Cyberpunk is a million miles away from being the game I'd hoped it was going to be. Given its now on Series X and PS5 it feels like it's about 10-15 years old.
