Dr. Sanjay Gupta does not have his facts correct. People don't go to the forest to eat exotic animals, the animals are poached illegally under international law statutes and the animals are then brought into markets that specialize in exotic foods for the tastes of the population. These animals are kept under horrendous and unsanitary conditions and then slaughtered for customers who consider it a delicacy or status symbol to eat the animal. There have been four pandemics in the last twenty years from these poached animals mixed with the food markets and therein lies the problem and solution. Stop this poaching and the illegal trade in animals for food. If a person is running around setting fire to houses, you can't solve the problem with bigger fire hoses. You have to stop the arsonist. That means having the political courage to confront the problem and take action. That's what Dr. Sanjay Gupta didn't mention or confront. He didn't talk about the facts.
