I liked the book (except for the violence and kisses). It was very dramatic, but not like the original trilogy. It was a little different to read the book through President Snow's prespective, but it latter turned out to be very exhilarating and truly shocking. How he found out his true character which was greatly shaped by his class, standards, thoughts and his close circle. How teenage is the time of life in which you shape your own character. The book was very enjoyable and shocking at some points, and it got more and more engrossing, especially as we came to "Peacekeeper" Part.
The ending was good, but there some things, I believe, Collins should have given a better anding. First of all is Lucy Gray. The way she was concluded was not very bad, though I think she deserved a more prominent end ( perhaps hanging herself with the Tree). Secondly, there's Tigris. When I started reading the book, I was a little shocked that she's the same Tigris from Mockingjay. The way we saw her in the 3rd Hunger Games book should have been explained in this book in some way (alone with a tigiris' s makeup in a small shop).
All in all, the book was interesting. Collins writes in a very absorbing way. The things we were introduced in The Hunger Games mentioned in this book were the best parts and we were given more details about them (like the lake, the house near it, the Hanging Tree song, District 12 having only three victors etc.). I was thinking that maybe it should've been more fun to read the epilouge throungh the prespective of the main-triology Snow many years later but of course, its a prequel. Anyway, its another fun book from the Hunger Games series.
