This movie was so bad, it’s actually crazy. Let’s list a few of the things bad about it: 1. A cop beating up prisoners during inspection??? And no one like really cares? 2. The worst planned out prisoner transport ever seen. 1 Escort car with 2 officers + 2 officers on the main truck… for a high-value transport with a gang boss yeah sure. No more escort cars or helicopter coverage or route checkpoints? Like how the f does it take literal hours for HQ to realize this thing was ambushed. 3. Shits goings bad and you step out alone, instead of together for coverage… 4. Martin sees his dead partner and waits forever before moving away from there. 5. Mr. Badguy shooting like 5-6 times with a rifle onto a non-moving Martin missing every shot. Former police officer and marksman for sure (also nice how Martin doesn’t care that he is getting shot at). 6. Martin not giving a SITREP and also no other means of communication to HQ. 7. Martin not having a spare mag for his pistol. Wtf did they even prepare for? 8. The god awful resurrection of Montesino… This guy was shot twice, left on a cold road and suddenly wakes up, is still alive and kicking, able to figure out where the transport went and able to drive a car and shoot a gun. Ok buddy. 9. Montesinos death. All of that for literally nothing btw. He just got ran off the road and died, like what??? 10. They survive freezing water, like it’s nothing. Also the emergency exit hatch just opened smooth like that, under water, where there is pressure, yeah ok. 11. The whole chase between Nano and Miguel was just bad. Like actually so bad. 12. Miguel beating up Nano. How on earth does a wounded grandpa catch and beat down a ~20 y/o. 13. Nano telling Miguel, he will never say where the body is. Like how fcking dumb do you have to be to say that in front of a cop. 14. Martin shooting off Nanos hand. Not only was this visually just bad, like an actual trash movie, but also the extremely principled cop, suddenly turning batman i am vengeance. 15. The back-up forces watching all that unfold, instead of like idk doing something. Summary: Below Zero has a terrible script filled with flaws and errors. There is no clear line of what this movie wants to be or wants to tell us. The whole reasoning for Miguels actions feels extremely forced and honestly just random. This movie is not at all great to watch and afterwards you need to watch an actual good movie to calm down.
