The author showed just how versatile she is. Every book in this series made me want to read the next. When I picked up this book, I was hooked right from the first sentence. One thing I realised from this book was that no matter what you go through, there can e beauty in an ugly situation. The fire that took Kaitlyn's parents and the fact that she became a made vampire was the basis for her transformation into the first known female drake. Kaitlyn's personality struggles cinched it for me and I just can't wait for the next book.
