it was ok it was kinda jarring and i didnt feel anything watching it and the animals looked weird but like i didnt lose it. the cannibals depicition felt off... it felt like racist tbh good god the animals looked WEIRD.i enjoyed the girl struggling w vulnerability and the guy being the dreamer tho that was a nice twist. i found the noose thing funny

LOVED IT SURPRISINGLY but skip episode 1 bc episode 1 is boring ash :) - changes to the fire royalty unexpectedly were *chefs kiss* ESPECIALLY DALLAS LIU AS ZUKO, the visuals in the 2nd half of the szn kinda ate, moving at times, appa/momo very cute (momo i actually got to care about), LOTS of side character improvements, another big thing i loved the focus on a bigger variety of characters & settings :( - hit or miss vis effects (I found it extremely funny at times though so for me it was a plus), meh performance from main cast (specifically at the beginning), a certain female character's voicing didn't feel very on point (no spoilers). some minor writing issues, katara's bad side didnt show up enough (ik theyre waiting but girl cant be a saint all thru) doesnt live up to its OG fs, but better than korra s2 definitely... i am really excited to see how the main cast continues to grow! it's so nice to see reboots deviate from the originals! show did really well considering it's not meant to be live action & less participation from OG writers

(9/10) It was SO AMAZING! My one complaint is that I wish we saw the humanity in Mizu a bit too early; I think that the writers kept the "cold revenge" shallow/simple thing around for too long, and that may have been what put so many people off for this show. Another thing, that may be personal to me, is how the violence and sex in the show felt a little bit less meaningful over the course of the story. Like, it started out more relatable to the viewer, but over time became more and more detached from its initial usage. This may be for the purpose of the story, or to fit the scenarios, but I hope that if there is a season 2 (it seems that streaming services really like to push great shows out and then cancel them nowadays), they lean back into the violence that wasnt like oh hell yea we gonna blow this guys brains and and theyre jus kinda not gonna be paid attention to, and instead focus on the depicitions from the earlier episodes of season 1.

(9/10) Amazing! My one complaint was Mahito being kind of bland as a character, and it felt like he was only used as a vehicle for the story. It would have been nice to see him extend beyond that
