A Venture

Excellent! Great writers tell a story of young love and of the challenges facing the young. It's uplifting but tormentingly sad. Humans have learned so much about how bees live and work together (bees are in the story). Reading this book, maybe some of us can learn do do the same.

Read several of the reviews and understand how some quit the book as at times it was so painful. But I so appreciate the author who showed us the Depression and Dust Bowl times through the eyes of women. Reading and experiencing such extraordinary heart-breaking times can give one strength, a foundation of humanity. If I were back in school, I would love to have the choice to read this vs The Great Gatsby. Recommend finishing the book.

Another excellent true story about courage and faith. A reminder how important it is to remember history and how evil can destroy if we are not diligent.

In the beginning, I braced myself...but Elizabeth got my attention really fast. Highly recommend, Brilliant!! Hilarious but scientifically sobering.
