I was looking forward to seeing Danger Close, having read the personal accounts and seen of some of the individuals, who took part in this battle and seen some very good documentaries on the battle. I didn't like the attempted Americanisation of some of the characters. Perhaps they are trying to appeal to the US audience, but in doing so they failed to portray the men as Australians, and in doing so disrespected the real soldiers. There were some interesting aspects the film that may have been an attempt to give some insight why the Australian Government took so long to acknowledge the gallantry of the members of D Coy 6RAR.
