I've just watched Ep 3 and it's getting better and better. Good characters, good acting, compelling plot. I think some of the things that reviewers complained about in the earliest episodes have been counterfactualled as the show has unfolded and key characters have become more multi-dimensional. Well worth watching.

Started strong. Had some moving moments and good acting and beautiful production quality. But the sub-plots got pretty silly from the mid-point. Stepping back, the topic of the roles of women in the great war is important and definitely merits this show.

This got worse and worse. I endured it in the end. Too silly, too many evil characters, no character growth or redemption or interest really. Dreadful format - narration, music etc. No style or beauty. And while I’m not one to typically wave the woke flag, this was over the top too. Avoid.

It’s been hugely enjoyable viewing with my teenage son. Lots of laughter and tearing up. Sone terrific characters. We have both found Nikki’s character more irritating than endearing at various points - largely in seasons 1 and 4. Halfway through season 4 we remain loyal but fear the show is tired and may have lost its way…

I don’t really care if Lincoln and Stanton are fully accurate physical representations! It’s gripping and well acted. Stanton is fabulous. I’m watching with my teenage boys are they are also captivated, waiting for the next episode to drop.

Unsure why the plot differed so profoundly from the book. Not for the better. 630 is a real loss. The subtlety of the book’s themes and characterisation is lost in the heavy handedness of the show. It is otherwise enjoyable and nicely put together. But it is not great.
