I’ve seen countless films that merely entertained me. Sound of Freedom made me a better person. From the introductory Angel Studios logo and through to the end credits, the film is engaging and demands attention. The plot and subject matter are gripping; absent of a lull or boring moment. The script writing is honest and appropriately sparse. Absent is the bloated dialogue, political commentary or excessive language typically found in a contemporary release. The soundtrack supplemented the film without excess and there’s a perfect balance of film score and the diegetic. The film denouement is satisfying if not heartbreaking and manages to awaken the most basic and fundamental truth within each of us; “God’s Children… [our children] are not for sale”.
