I started watching Homeland again after 14 years. Boy, does the first season hold up. Claire Danes is fabulous as a high strung serious spy, of course, but the sex scenes with Damien Lewis - the chemistry and skill of both actors stands out as phenomenal in and of itself. Not easy to lose all inhibitions and reproduce that kind of pure sensual hunger onscreen - really, really hard to do and worthy of admiration. The irony of it: the writers didn't expect this impressive result and they kept the dialogue in with each character being detached and discounting their amazing attraction - it would help each one solve their psychological difficulties in real life. Are the writers gay? The two would not have the emotional strength to minimize the force of this amazing bond. It's heightened by the two actors not being "classically" beautiful. The beauty comes from their souls. Bravo!

Clayne Crawford is spectacular as Riggs. Deep actor, great gymnast. His chemistry with Murtaugh matches that of the original film which is very hard to do. Also I laughed out loud often! Especially love the scene where Riggs messes up the car of the deputy Mayor of LA. People in LA are so sensitive about their cars! Well-done professional L. A. production full of action and well-played irony.

Lethal weapon Seasons 1 and 2 are terrific.. chemistry between Riggs and Murtaugh is beautifully written and acted, matching the original movie's chemistry between the two major characters. Kudos to Clay Curtaugh. He is a serious actor and a great gymnast! These two seasons are definitely worth watching.

What happened with Season 2? Mostly music and murky longshots, where is the script? Demi Moore supposedly kick-ass speech made no sense and now Billy Bob has her trying to interfere, a bigger obstacle than before. His wife has gone further over the top rather than toning it down, she is an empty caricature. We have no idea why his son loves his girlfriend who is suddenly demanding to know everything? The daughter scene with the admissions lady is also ludicrous. Everyone is a comic book caricature now except Billy Bob whom they hardly give any lines. He was the best thing in it. This is messed up, to use their jargon. Someone else has taken over and ruined a quality production.

Ouch! Hilaria, get rid of those fake boobs. They are horrible. Better flat chested than those, and you display them so prominently. OMG! Married to Alec Baldwin, who could basically have had any woman of any class, should be enough for you. Carrie Fisher and many others were madly in love with him. No fake eyelashes, either. What were you thinking? They make you a caricature! You think you're better adjusted and understand life more deeply than Alec? The depth of his dramatic performances demonstrate otherwise. You are the mother of so many children, maybe he feels he has to put up with you. Hilaria is definitely campaigning to establish herself to justify getting half Alec's income in a divorce. I feel sorry for Alec. One more thing. Stop blaming Alec Baldwin for murdering the cinematographer!! He's a veteran actor, used to depending on the crew to do their job. I understand why he's done with the movie biz.

Great acting especially Matthew Rhys, setting the tone for the cast. Tim Guinea as Uncle Rick also anchors the cast as totally loyal family. Claire Bloom too mannered and difficult to watch in some scenes convincingly lesbian but joyless. Excellent plot and writing. This series was easy to shoot, mostly 2-person scenes in the NY Metro area. Cinematography not noteworthy. The minority casting made sense, not exaggeratedly woke.

A depressing Romcom! Dakota Johnson's shallowness and lack of emotional depth made this film impossible. Acting opposite her even made the charismatic Pedro Pascal look flat. A sexy female star like Jennifer Lawrence is needed here. This film doesn't seem to be produced by Dakota Johnson's production company. I don't understand why she's in so many films, just as Nicole Kidman is in every other film. Chris Evans was believable in the second half of the film, but Dakota's non-reaction was disheartening. Please give other female stars a chance!

Yes, 5 stars. Travolta was sensational in it, the only actor from Brooklyn I have ever seen do a perfect Texan or Southern accent, complete with the swagger. Sounds like jealousy from people who give it one star. The dialogue was good, it was not a bad screenplay. Only incongruity was a black man running the town (Morgan Freeman). This is not likely to happen in SE Texas. But Freeman was convincing in the role, as he usually is. One of Travolta's best performances.

Justin Hartley, starring as Colter, is the most amazing to have such a body at age 48. Shows extreme self-discipline. He must spend at least 4 hours/day on bodybuilding and health. Truth is there are no great male stars of 95% of series without great bodies - as opposed to women stars, weirdly enough. He's not particularly deep or charismatic but his discipline compensates for it which is quite admirable. I have issues with some woke casting starting with Season 2 of subordinate characters which stretches DEI too far. The loss of the fifth star is due to this cringeworthy casting. Just fast forward, or close your eyes.

Ouch! No ending? Please, the writer is too lazy or cowardly to take a position. The actors were great except for the overly mannered Adris Elba's ridiculous portrayal of a POTUS, showing zero depth, fidgeting around and looking out of the window, painful to watch. I kept wondering if Netflix had rewound the video as the same dialogue was repeated 4 times. Thin gruel indeed, far from brilliant. Skip.
