Wow! After hearing the remake couldn’t compare I couldn’t wait to rent it. What an absolute joke of a movie. Albert Finney with his quixotic overacting and the worst Belgian accent ever spoken on screen was a major disappointment. The characters are stiff as boards, only lasted through an hour before I had to give up. Oh man, I’d rather have a root canal.
The book or the new version, don’t waste a minute or your money, the train should have driven off a cliff in the first 5 minutes, now that would have been an improvement.
