It’s rare that I decide after watching a movie that it was a waste of two hours of my time, since I am a lover of bad movies and watching them simply to make fun of them but this movie has somehow still made it onto the very short list.
The first and second 365 days began with a bang, romanticizing a relationship of toxicity and down right domestic abuse (remember, kids, it doesn’t stop at physical!). The third simply drove this point to home base.
It’s sad to see that all of the toxic and traumatic experiences that Laura is going through are simply being swept under the rug because Massimo is a handsome “alpha” male. While I do believe every struggles with the loss of a child differently, I don’t believe that screaming and throwing glass cups at your partner is an excusable trait. Through manipulation and kidnapping, Massimo has molded Laura into his perfect wife, a piece of property that he continues to berate and manipulate.
Despite the ethical problems this movie presents, this specific threequal of 365 days lacks the foundation of a good story. There is conflict, yet a very unconvincing climax and zero resolution. Sure, you can draw your own conclusion on what Laura decides at the end, but that is what the conflict was, is it not?
Please, for the love of god, get a stylist who knows how to do hair. Laura looks like she rolled out of a bed of pigs in every scene.
