The character development in Gladiator 2 feels shallow, making it hard to connect with or care about the characters. The visuals and CGI also leave much to be desired, lacking the gritty, immersive quality of a truly great film. To make matters worse, some scenes suffer from poor acting, which takes away from the experience. If you’ve never seen the original, you might find some enjoyment here. However, for fans of the first film, this one falls flat. A real disappointment.
