The LDS owned TV station in Seattle, KIRO-TV 7 ran this program. I was a senior in high school when this was aired. What is funny they ran this show but when "The Graduate" aired in the fall of 1973, KIRO pre-empted that movie! I was working at KIRO radio then and the phone calls that came in kept me busy. The Tacoma station KTNT did not have a great signal so a lot of north of Seattle people were upset!

Before my Dad passed away in late 2014, we watched a STC and at 84, he though he missed an episode of the original series. That's how good STC is! Pop got me turned on to sci fi at about age 3. We saw "Forbidden Planet" at a drive in theater in south Seattle. By junior high school I read everything from pulp to serious scientific fiction I could lay my hand on. When Star Trek was new in the fall of 1966, I was a very excited 13 year old. I audio recorded episodes and memorized dialog. My wife is a fan of SF as well, perhaps that's why we've been together for 43+ years. I wouldn't say I am a trekkie or trekker, I simple like the positive aspects of Star Trek.

Saw it again after 50 years on Netflix. I enjoyed the music, the stereo hifi sound and scope of this lavish SuperPanavision 70 production. Still gives me a warm feeling. Saw it in a lavish Seattle theatre as a young kid. Audrey Hepburn was my first crush or was it Haley Mills?
