Excellent casting, superb acting and mood-filled cinematography from a not-long-ago bygone era. Based on a true story, this film has been thoughtfully crafted, weaving history and tender recollections with moving tales of survival that resonate from one generation to another, including parent-child relationships, leaving the viewer with much to ponder. A film worthy of 5 stars.
