People who this this 5 stars have clearly never read the books. I’m not sure where they think it’s true to the story but it very much isn’t. Next to zero sarcasm from Percy. Annabeth is just plain awful. Grover is fine. Gabe is meant to be the worst person and he’s just a normal jerk. Sally I could take or leave. Chiron is absolutely horrible. Mr. D also not good. None of the characters remind me of characters from the book. They’re jumping around the story all over the place. Things we don’t find out til the end of the book are on the beginning. This is a horribly written review because I don’t feel like making it pages long but if you are a fan of the books this is only mildly better than the movies but other than that I would not recommend it. I cannot believe riordan allowed this. And what is the point of changing how Thalia died from cyclops to the fury’s? What exactly did that accomplish. And why was Gabe what Percy saw from the oracle. It just makes absolutely zero sense. I hope Disney fixes this but I know they won’t and something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time is going to continue to suck.
