While the series did a good job in not apportioning blame on the parents, I do think that parents need to pull their finger out. You should not be giving your child a smartphone, they DO NOT need one. Giving a child a smartphone, like the way you give a baby a dummy and rattle in the hope that you can have some peace is what's causing this damaging mentality across all children. Not all children will stab, but the underlying mental problems that cause it is present in all children these days. If you "need" to contact your child, give them a basic phone. You wouldn't give your child poison, or cigarettes or alcohol, or drugs, so why do you give them free reign on the internet. Parents, please do better. You're not helping your child, you're failing them.
