Viswam Review:
Srinu Vaitla's latest film, Viswam, unfortunately fails to capture the comedic brilliance we've come to expect from his earlier works. The film lacks the charm of iconic actors like Venu Madhav, MS Narayana, Mallikarjuna Rao, and Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam. While Naresh and Pragati try their best, they don’t quite do justice to the material. The story feels average, and both Gopichand and Kavya Thapar struggle to deliver laughs, especially in the first half. Overall, it’s a one-time watch at best.
Sadly, even the songs fall flat, lacking any memorable quality.
On the flip side, I just watched Vettaiyan, which is a blockbuster hit! Thalaivar breaks the mold of typical cop movies with a powerful social message. Although the first half drags a bit, the punchy dialogues and engaging storyline keep you hooked. Stellar performances from Fahad Faasil, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dushara shine through, but Thalaivar truly steals the show! This film is definitely a must-watch.
Viswam turns out to be an outdated commercial action potboiler. Gopichand gives a dedicated performance, but the stale and uninspired story penned by Sreenu Vaitla drags it down. Given all these points, Cinejosh rates Viswam a disappointing 2 out of 5.
