This books outlines communism.
In 1818, Karl Heinrich Marx was born. Within 30 years, he had written Communist Manifesto, the basis of all communism. As time went on, this radical idea became gradually more excepted, until, “Lenin wrote a book on Marx,” as Don McLain put it. In actuality, Vladimir Llich, had installed the first truly communist nation, the Russian Bolshevik government. The immediate effect of this attack was also the clearest: Russia left the first world war. But, was there something deeper? It was the realization that communism was spreading. In 1949, China went red. But, what is wrong with communism? Many scholars today deny the problems of communism, or praise communist countries for their, “good” works. (Sanders praising Castro, for example.) But, communism is inherently flawed: Communism trusts the government. Not only that, but communism overcedes the purpose of government. Before this paper goes on, it should be made clear that communism is not the only flawed government. In fact, all government is inherently flawed, because nothing humans can do is perfect. Since Genesis’ fall of man, all works of man have been flawed. Thus, while communism is inherently flawed, any capitalist government, or any democracy is also inherently flawed. But, what is the purpose of government? In other words, what is the government’s main goal? The government’s main goal is, and will always be security. That is why Americans pay taxes; Americans pay the government for its service, which is to protect its people. The protection comes in the form of not only the obvious military power, but also from laws. In the words of Thomas Pain(e?), “Wherefore, security being the true design and end of government, it unanswerably followers that whatever form, thereof, appears most likely to provide him with it(security), at the least exspence and greatest benefit, is preferable to all others.” But, Paine left out one crucial detail: the basic rights of man. Is communism the best means of security, at the least exspence and the greatest benefit? Perhaps it is. But, even if that is so, and communism is the most efficient, what is a communist government working to achieve? The leader of any communist government is working for his own gain, not the people’s gain. The simple fact is not that everyone wins with communism, nor is it that nobody wins. The truth of the matter is that the powerful members of government win. Everyone else looses. However, even if the government was not corrupt, communism would still fail. Everything man does is inherently flawed, for such is man’s nature. Take, for example, China’s great leap forward. This action of using bad farming technique, and bringing farmers into industrial jobs, caused the deaths of, at least according to the communist Chinese government, 20 million people. In actuality, however, the number was likely closer to 60 or 80 million dead. Do communist governments actualy work for the good of the people? Bolshies may try, but they will never succeed.
