It has some good, clichè fantasy element that I do enjoy. But it seems as though the author wants to force too many of them in, with nowhere to go. The characters seem to really jump around with whether or not they like him, and things happen almost too fast at times. It all adds up to make it feel forced and kind of fake. Doubt I'll read more books by Morgan Rice unless I hear about some growth with storytelling
