I'm surprised. I was hoping for a fun, mildly disturbing and scary movie like The Menu (which that movie is better please watch that instead) or Get Out... But instead it was just disappointing. Only in that the trigger warning at the beginning had me scared, like what am I about to see? Maybe it won't be that bad. But no, it's bad. Someone said in their review that drugs and SA are heavily implied but it's NOT just implied. I would have preferred it if it was implied. Initially I thought this movie was trying to bring attention to the horrible violence that women have endured for centuries but it took it somewhere it shouldn't have. We've already seen on screen for decades violence against women and I'm tired of it. As if we need more? Not only that, but the ending isnt as cathartic as you would have liked it to be a lot of the women don't make it out which is heartbreaking. I'm just surprised that a woman claiming to support women thought this movie was a good idea and possibly groundbreaking. Do yourself a favor and don't watch this movie. So much regret. That being said, the acting was very good and a little TOO convincing and the scoring creepy af. I hated it.
