Characters that I thought were going to hang around died quick and meaningless. Jokes came at the strangest time and a little to often for an action film. No explanation on how they penetrated the shield this time, we just must assume we used there technology against them, even though it didn't work at times🤔. What bothered me the most was the fact many characters from the first independence day at least made an appearance but there wasn't even a mention of the true hero of the first movie, the hill billy and his kids??? Where did they all go, and even if the kids died nobody cares the hill billy piolet saved the day when he killed himself flying into the ship???? The movie was all over the place and it ended to easy . Watchable but definitely not a movie I'm searching for.
