I think it sucks. My thoughts on Wonder
Wonder is great, whether in the novel or the movie. Both come with inspirational messages, about kindness and friendship. They also have different perspectives from different people, including August, Jack Will, Via, Miranda, and Justin.
I, for one, like the novel better than the movie. Firstly, the novel has many more events that the movie misses. For example, in the novel, they show you the new puppy the Pullman family gets after Daisy dies, Bear. Secondly, the novel describes events in vivid detail. For example, when August and a few of his classmates run away from the older bullies, they describe it as travelling in complete darkness, as if ink had spilled. Thirdly, the book has clearer perspectives and many character’s thoughts. In the movie, it seems as if the same events are happening, just that the camera is at a different angle. This is why I would prefer to read the novel instead of watching the movie. You may have different opinions, but this is mine.
My favourite character in the movie is August. He can be funny. When he was meeting Julian, Jack, and Charlotte, he looked down. He thought, “You can learn a lot about people from their shoes. These three are,” August looks at Julian’s shoes, “Trust-fund kid,” He looks down at Jack’s shoes. “Hand-me-down kid,” And last, he looks at Charlotte’s. “Uh-Oh. Crazy Kid.” August is hilarious
My favourite part of this movie is when Julian gets suspended. I like it because Julian’s mom, the vice president of the school board, argues against Mr. Tushman. She always talks quickly and comes up with many reasons. In the end, she closes the argument in a way I could have never come up with. She
