I love the original series and felt I knew these women and rooted for them as they navigated all of it. The subsequent movies were ho- hum but I hung in there to watch "And Just Like That" Season 1. I applaud the added diversity and their life challenges, heartfelt. I recognize that it must have been difficult to continue the series. But I could hardly get through the first episode of Season 2. The characters are not young anymore as you could excuse the self-centeredness at those ages but not now. Charlotte wasn't my favorite character but it is painful to watch how superficial she is and plastic surgery does not look good on Kristin Davis. Carrie is no longer introspective, no writing, and who cannot poach an egg? She seems rather pitiful now. Miranda's new and difficult relationship is cringeworthy. I had hoped for more depth and they are just all focused on their outfits to the Met. So disappointed.
