This story published more than a century ago predicted a world where human interaction has been replaced by a ubiquitous social media. Humans do not have a reason to leave their 'cells', everything they need the machine creates for them. Food, entertainment, interactions. The story is an excellent commentary on how technology (creation) can entrap man (creator) in a way he doesn't even realize, and how man has surrendered all his earthly and natural tendencies, desires and instincts to live in a supposed 'life of comfort'.
