Great production values, writing, and performances. Unfortunately, it eventually loses steam around expanding the story lines so far that we forget what is was about and lose interest. Would have made a great 70's style 6-part mini-series, or a two-part film. But the unfortunate economic model of the multi-season format is death to cinematic story-telling. After the first two episodes, I was pretty excited for this venture. Now I'm halfway through season one, it's clear what they're trying to do, and I'm just done.
