Honestly, season 1 was pretty good from what I can remember, but all the sex talk and horrible jokes in season 2 caused me to cringe far to often to the point where I had to stop watching the show. the last straw was when the “Derek” character mentions how “Liz lets them fuck in the house”, of course referring to her teenage son and new girlfriend, who seem to only be in the show for jokes exaclty like this. At its core, the show is pretty well written, but it seemed to have been passed through multiple porn addicted writers, who couldn’t keep their lustful thoughts out of the script for even 5 minutes. I have never written a review for a show before, but I feel as if I need to for Shrinking as I have never seen a show this “horny” before. it’s genuinely ridiculous. I don’t know how so many people can just look past this and leave the show such great reviews.
