So from top to bottom this is five stars. I'm rating from timeline rates, as what was allowed at the time, and it's unfair to rate under constrictions placed of the film establishment of 1973.
To have a U.S. major moshion picture company (WB) take on any Chinese company (yes Hong Kong), and move for this picture is extraordinary. We can argue that Bruce Lee's priars were extraordinary U.S. hits, but they were poorly produced and didn't necessarily make a difference at the time outside of cult followings.
The way the film was organized at the time, including Lee OBVIOUSLY, and then Roper and Williams with their storylines, were brilliant in adding appeal in 1973 in U.S. and European audiences. This approved to that mindset, but still appeals today! It holds its worth mostly on Lee's appeal at this point. Of course his philosophies seem to stand the test of time!
