Exquisite rendering of the last days of the heartbreaking struggles of one of America’s greatest entertainment treasures. Zellweger’s Judy is truly heart stopping. She handles the songs as well as called for. Surely, no one will ever duplicate that rich, unforgettable Garland voicebox but Miss Z’s acting more than makes up for any of her minor shortcomings. The important part is that in every scene Garland’s deep humanity shines through like a ray of sunlight in a dark, lonely valley. Go see it now!
