A very important film on national integration. Powerfully depicts age-old Hindu-Muslim amity of Assam, should be emulated by the rest of India. The sweetness of simplicity ( "madhurjjya" ) in which the story is presented is remarkable. It is said that God lives in the house of the simple. The film immortalises the story of the same title by Lakkhidhar Sarma. I saw the original film in 1948 when I was a child, still remember the impact it made on my young mind.
