This sucked, i am concerned that it is was not a true revelations of a loving family. This man went to jail, and this woman could not pull herself together to take care of a beautiful little boy. My heart broke. To find the family really ostracized the husband, and particularly the lonely little boy. Th mother let him ,m let him falter in school while the rest of them were so busy with their lives. As a mother, I can’t imagine, truly can’t imagine how that child had to taken a backseat. The grandfather hated him, the mother was a drug addict, the big sister, as a fancy sister all were so different. Sorry I could not relate to any of this. I only finished the book because with Gods help there would be an end day. I think the whole family was a mess and God thank you for that child, live through what he had to do. I truly had to finish the book but hated that horrible family! that was not a family that I was consider in my life!
