How does this muck ever get made??

A classic…….. terribly overlooked in the history of cinema. How movies should be…. No explosions, no nudity, no special effects… just great dialogue that keeps you gripped from the outset and constantly guessing. Excellent performances and delivered flawlessly. Fantastic film.

The problem with this movie is that the characters are likeable and it’s acted well but unfortunately it goes absolutely nowhere. The sad efforts at frights or scares just do not work and it seems the director cuts between a horror/ thriller/ moral dilemma to slow motion emotional scenes. The “reveal “ at the end is seen someways off but the montage of past conversations is pointless. The film only shows a slight heartbeat in the last 5mins when the true nature of what’s going on comes to pass but as quickly as it gets you taking interest it turns back to the horror/spiritual/ American ending. Think Diagnosis Murder meets Erin brockovich meets American history x.
