No Spoiler review: I’m honestly just really confused? The whole point of reading a book is to be able to spend more time delving into the characters and getting to know that. This book is literally bare bones. It feels like the author didn’t want to actually spend the time fleshing out the characters fully, which resulting in the reader being able to flip very emotionlessly to disliking a character because of their action. I really don’t think the author did a good job at creating compelling characters with interesting backstories and world building. It reads like basic fan fiction. It’s ridiculous to be honest. I prefer repetition over “she looked like this. She then said something ominous, also this the context as to why the ominous thing matters”. It’s just bad writing. I like the concept though. I think a book that does this very well is ACE OF SPADES.
