i went to see this movie expecting a cute, glamorous, funny movie, but ended up crying my heart out many different times. i sat in my seat for a good five minutes after the movie ended to just take in all of the emotions i was feeling. once i finally left the theatre i left feeling perpetually indebted for not only myself, but for all the other women around me. some quotes from this movie that absolutely broke me are as followed(SPOILER WARNING) “we mothers stand still so our daughters can look back and see how far they have come” “men look at me like i’m an object, girls hate me” “women hate women. men hate women. it’s the only thing we can all agree on.” “i’m a man with no power, does that make me a woman?” i recommend this movie for EVERYONE. my favorite scene from this movie is when Barbie is sitting on the bench beside a woman and starts crying while she’s feeling all of her human emotions and says “you are so beautiful.”
