Honestly reading the reviews is more interesting than seeing Superman again. Itโs one of those movies where weโre all right for once no matter what you think about it. A 5/5 is a straight up lie tho. Then after giving it 5 stars, tell you that the movie isnโt perfect. So why 5 stars? If you get one question on a test wrong, do you still deserve the 100?..The first part of the movie is a bunch of extended trailers scenes. We were here and there and even in a pocket dimension with no true cohesiveness. The lack of story building made me feel like when someone explaining a story but itโs all over the place cause the person keep remembering stuff they forgot to tell you in story so therefore they keep throwing things in the story. It does Superman get his ass kicked the whole movie and I didnโt see any of the other characters get in any danger where they needed to call for back up? Superman got beat up in every fight and someone comes to save him. Character development left me wondering if I should care about these characters because like the robots, I simply didnโt care if they lived or died. Mr. Terrific and the green lantern kelp the sparks going on in the movie. (Though I wouldโve traded the garage door scene for a back story from Mr. Terrific , even as funny as it was). The movie wasnโt bad tho I still had a few more issues with it, and they feel like itโs too much to address right now. I pray the extended version clears up some of my issues with the movie cause do believe the runtime is the reason weโre not seeing this movie full potential. The studio wants these kind of movies around 2 hour theatrical mark.
