As a game that emphasized the return of mega evolution the 30 paywall most people are going to have to pay just to have access to their favorite mons that should've been there already is more than annoying. Not to mention the Nintendo online paywall to play PVP which is required to unlock certain mega stones. This is pokemons newest attempt at a cash grab. Also to note that when it is finally compatible with Pokemon home you will not be able to put anything into za and get it back it will essentially be stuck there unable to go to any other game. For what it is, a thrown together slice of life story in lumiose city, if you have a very low bar sure its cool. But the regression of certain evolve mechanics and a required 4 way free for all for ranked battle. It seems to me like this is what happens when Pokemon says let's try and be like fortnight battle Royale. I admit the new battle mechanics themselves are are a great step forward. But there were to many steps back for me to morally be able recommend this game to anyone and it was the last Nintendo purchase of my household.
