This show started out amazing, a fresh and dark take on the super hero genre. However, as Hollywood so often does they had to make it about politics. The ham-fisted attempt to turn the plot into an allegory about the "evil" that is Donald Trump and conservatism has made it too hard to watch. Homelander is a quivering limp wristed buffoon with the power of God and the heart of the devil himself, and they just couldn't help but to parallel his character to Trump. It really is the worst of Hollywood writing all shoehorned into one show.
