What century is the head concierge Salvatore living in? He's a 'leader' who claps his hands and says 'chop chop' when telling people they need to get to work - while trying not to trip over his ego.
He talks down to one of his assistants, infront of a new employee, and then tells her not to back-chat to him, he's clearly watched Upstairs Downstairs. Later in the episode he has a childish hissy fit and storms out when he can't get his way.
Most of the cast come across as selfish and in it for themselves. The chef brothers who describe themselves as handsome, clearly have their eyes on a post-billionaire cookery show, possibly with the Chippendales as regular guests where they can join in a provide aprรฉ show titillation.
The rich guests are stereotypical over privileged divas, who can just pay their way out of anything, and demand anything because they're paying.
The situations and dialogue are clearly scripted.
But if you can get past all of that and disengage your brain, it's compulsive viewing. Your new summer love/hate reality show.
