A long movie that ignores the book and takes all the intricate politics from it. Just a lot of posturing and disconnected relationships. Certain characters are miscast, like the lead and all are not allowed to develop and grow. The technology of the different factions is fairly nonexistent. The worms weren’t important enough to the makers to explain what they are and their value. It’s a shame that the original movie, made in 84, is much stronger representation.
