After Jeremy Brett, there was perhaps no one other than Benedict Cumberbatch who could have stolen the stage. The plots are quite modernized, though based on the works of Conan Doyle. It has been kept in mind that sherlock is in the 21st century. Here the great detective has been shown too much idiosyncratic, yet his every observations have been dramatized by rapid screenplays. Martin Freeman plays the new Watson quite well after Edith Burke.
