Similar feel, similar characters. Good to see Neo and Trinity again. Other characters were alright. Cool to see Neil Patrick-Harris in here, love that guy in everything he does. Setting was neat, good to see the world that we left behind almost 20 years ago has progressed in a way. Overall a fun ride, a nice upgrade from the original. The GCI, certainly, was better. I recently rewatched the other 2 sequals, and honestly, in my opinion, the cgi for them didnt age well. First still rises far above them. Any way, dont see why this movie is getting all the hate that it is, but i enjoyed myself. Hope this helps.
