I heard a lot of mixed reviews about this movie. So, when I finally went to watch it, I knew that I needed to have an open mind, yet I was keeping the criticism in the back of my mind as I watched it. Personally, this movie was five out of five stars for me. The cinematography, the voices, the story! I found it to be a very beautiful and moving film that perfectly capsulated the classic movie, while still adding its own touches to separate itself from the original movie. Halle Bailey’s voice literally sent chills down my spine, and her acting was so pure. Obviously, it’s easy to criticize the animation of Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle, but I still think their characters were still very likable and cute despite their realistic features. And Melissa McCarthy killed it as Ursula. Her voice and characterization did Ursula justice!!!! Anyways, I really loved this movie and that’s why I gave it five stars
