Among the dumbest movies I have ever had the misfortune to waste my time watching. The acting, directing, filming are all fine but, even if you are devoid of any understanding of how sound works, the movie itself provides more than enough information to contradict its own premise and cause its own downfall. Had the movie been about an isolated incident where a family is somehow trapped by these monsters and have to figure out how to survive it would have a relatively enjoyable film. As it stand though, anyone exercising the most rudimentary of critical thinking skills will find the premise that for more than a year the entire world has been at the mercy of creatures who are easily fooled, easily distracted, have an easily exploitable weakness, and are relatively easy to kill too unbelievable to enjoy.

I cannot remember when a movie gave me so many genuine belly laughs followed by applause for the cleverness of the jokes. While the overall plot is rather predicable, the events its comprised of are full of surprises. Juliet Mills, apparently very comfortable performing fully nude, said this was her favourite film to make and it's now my favourite film of hers to watch.

If you're intent on being a cinephile watch a Bergman film instead because, unlike this hour and a half of boredom followed by a fifteen minute finale that makes no sense, even Bergman's worst films at least offer interesting cinematography and solid acting.

Even my love of Stephen Chow cannot make this farce of a movie enjoyable. I'm not sure if this is the worst movie I've ever seen but it is certainly the most disappointing.

Meh. The movie wasn't terrible but neither was there anything to recommend about it. Uninspired and just plain bad CG, cliché story arcs, and uninteresting characters giving uninteresting performances despite an A-list cast that were all capable of much more. The only memorable moment was the cameo cage ring fight between the current Sorcery Supreme, Wong, and the "supposed to be in prison" Abomination (which is explained in the She-Hulk TV series). I don't know if the supporting cast were held back so they didn't outperform Simu Liu's Shang-Chi and or if it was merely a side-effect of a poor script that often made no sense but there's no reason for this high-budget mediocrity to have received the overwhelming rave reviews* that led me to waste 2 hours and 12 minutes of my life to see it. *Update: I just saw three identical reviews by three different "people" immediately after posting this so I guess that explains the rave reviews -- they're fake.

Read the reviews giving glowing praise of "Resurrection" and you'll get an idea of the only kind of audience that will enjoy this movie because, while the plot device sounds interesting, the execution falls flat. There's no character development arc for the protagonist of this movie despite losing her husband, recovering from critical injuries, gaining powers, and experiencing more should-be significant events that she barely registers. Even the stereotypical close-nit devout rural community that provides the setting for the bulk of this film seems to just take it all in stride. It's as if the director put the entire script on Prozac. Only one supporting character experiences any kind of growth but the movie glosses over his final transformation and fails to explain the radical choice he ultimately makes. There's a single outburst from a religious fanatic who you expect to become the antagonist but he's never heard from again, some scientific research that comes and goes, and a single interaction with the protagonist's father that provides the only meaningful dialogue in the entire movie. While this is far from the worst movie I've ever seen it will certainly fall short of most people's expectations despite the glowing reviews from a select few.

The story of a naive young man who falls under the sway of a frivolous young woman who convinces him to run away one summer. But summer and innocence both end.

Even if you can overlook all the things that don't make any sense to support the basic premise, the show still isn't very good. You do have to give it points for being different (the slightly more enjoyable movie notwithstanding) plus it's better than The Ark (the only other science fiction drama being currently aired on network TV) so I give Snowpiercer a bad-but-watchable 3/5 rating if you've already seen literally everything else there is to watch.

The real disaster isn't planets colliding, it's the movie itself. If you make it past the tedious first half to the second sister's chapter, the movie improves from pretentious college art thesis submission to terrible independent art-house film. I hope a full minute of Kirsten Dunst laying naked outdoors for absolutely no reason was worth it to whoever financed this proof that it's possible to make a two hour and fifteen minute long movie yet have it be completely devoid of sixty consecutive seconds of entertainment.
