In Tara Westover’s memoir educated. Tara grew up in the mountains away from society, she strived to get an education even with her family’s disapproval. She faced many challenges such as escaping her abusive family, fitting into society, and making friends. In my opinion this book fascinates me, it’s a story not often heard about growing up away from society. I enjoy learning how Tara wrestles with a new struggle every day and overcomes it. A lot of times it’s escaping her abusive family, fitting into society, and learning things that most people with an education already know.
