This is by far the worst of the live action retellings of Peter and Wendy. Departs from the story repeatedly, removes the tensions between Tink and Wendy, makes the Peter / Hook relationship into a wronged friendship with a suppressed love between them. No serious role for the crocodile. What happened to the mermaids?! The boys’ hidden home was supposed to be under a tree, not in a ruined fortress. Hook doesn’t die, probably to make room for some kind of lame Disney sequel. And to top it all off, other than Jude Law, the acting was so-so at best. The 2003 live action version was WAY better. But Disney couldn’t leave a good thing alone. J.M Barrie would not approve.
