Some interesting ideas. But the title of this book should be "A history of England with the odd mention of Celtic peoples"
The book has a few inaccuracies and a LOT of omissions.
I like Simon Jenkins writing in general, and I agree with the premise that the Welsh and Irish are different people's. But 70% of this book talks about parts of England that Jenkins starts the book by stating we're never Celtic to begin with.
